Following the recent relaxation of lockdown restrictions the LTA has said that intra club competitions are now allowed. As the East Hants league matches will not be starting until at the autumn at the earliest its been decided that it would be nice to arrange some tournaments for this summer, especially as there seems to have been quite a resurgence of interest in tennis, with the courts quite heavily booked.
It would be my intention to run a mens singles, mens doubles and mixed doubles which would run over the course of the summer, either in a knockout or round robin format, depending on numbers. We would like to cast the net as wide as possible in terms of participants.
It’s intended to be a friendly competition and not at all intimidating. So I would really appreciate it if you could let me know if you would like to participate by the end of this week (Sun 21st Jun). For the doubles, if you don’t have a partner just let me know and hopefully we can team you up with somebody.
So come on, be a great focus for the summer when other activities are in short supply!
