Tennis Week runs from Friday 21st July to Friday 28th July 2023.

Tennis week at Graffham is full of activities and entertainment for all your family and friends and there’s plenty of tennis as well in the form of mini tournaments, socials, club nights and more fantastic coaching with Richard Hopp for the Juniors.

A full summary of the junior coaching, events and timings along with contact details for who you need to contact to sign up is on the attached schedules.  We have also added a little more detail below.

Firstly if you are up for playing some tennis we have a number of activities for everyone of any ability and of course we will be setting up the 2 ‘grass courts’ to add to the entertainment.

  • Junior Tennis Coaching with Richard Hopp will be running all week, full details on the  flyer attached. Phone Richard on  07904 069457 or email him at  richard@hoppcoaching.co.uk
  • Generation game Mixed Doubles – sign yourself up by emailing admin@graffhamtennis.co.uk for this fun tournament on the Saturday morning. No partner needed, all abilities welcome, we will draw the pairings.
  • Men’s Doubles – sign yourself up by emailing admin@graffhamtennis.co.uk for this ‘clear the head’ tournament on Sunday morning. No partner needed, all abilities welcome, we will draw the pairings.
  • Club night on Thursday will feature an American doubles format.
  • Parent and child tennis night is now on the first Friday to coincide with the last fantastic  family Fridays at the rec. This is for all parents with children to come and have some fun on the courts with some ball machine games and prizes.

Amongst all of this there will be the brilliant Junior Match versus Rogate on the Tuesday afternoon and a mixed Friendly on the Wednesday evening

Alongside the tennis will be a number of activities for Friends and family as well as the tennis players – everyone is welcome.

  • On the 21st of July we will be joining in with the final Friday afternoon / Evening picnic and BBQ  as part of the family Friday event  – unlike previous years this will be a bring a picnic / your own food to cook on the barbeque and the bar will be open. There will be tennis, cricket and lots of other activities to keep eveyone entertained.
  • Saturday afternoon Brett Creed will be running a soft ball cricket for all match – a lot of fun for all the family so bring a picnic  and the bar will again be open for service.
  • The popular Curry night is back on the Thursday evening (27th July) with Jeeva cooking the curry – price £12 per head, tickets are limited so please either email admin@graffhamtennis.co.uk to book your place or contact Denise Clay – details are on the attached PDF.
