Dear GTC member,
We are delighted to announce that we have AGAIN been awarded 21 pairs of tickets in this year’s Wimbledon ballot. All members who satisfy the following requirements are entitled to enter the club ballot where if their name is drawn (see below)they will be allocated the tickets (which you will have to pay for). Details are set out below.
· You must be a British tennis member linked to our club and have opted in to the draw. A full list of current British Tennis Members who have opted in to the draw associated with Graffham is attached.
· You must have paid your annual Graffham TC membership before the 23rd of April
· You must be over 9 years old.
YOU SHOULD BE AWARE THAT WIMBLEDON RIGOROUSLY ENFORCE RULES REGARDING RE-SALE OF TICKETS AND YOU SHOULD ONLY APPLY FOR DATES WHEN YOU ARE ABLE TO ATTEND. We have attached the BTM venue rules for more details.
Entering the ballot
We have moved the ballot entry online this year by creating a simple google entry form. Simply click on or copy this link into your web browser: https://docs . google . com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfBFjuiHFFlTeZEUZUaGme0aub47bk1N8m_qcQFNpifgCPGWA/viewform?c=0&w=1
and for each eligible member enter your name at the top and then against each pair of tickets that you want to be entered into the ballot for click YES. Ignore dates you are not interested in. Against each pair of tickets we have added, the date, the court and what we expect the cost of each of the tickets to be, so you will need to pay double this. (Each member will be limited to one pair of tickets, but it will be possible to get a second pair via a different family member). All Ballott entries must have been received by the 27th of April.
The mechanism of the ballot.
The ballot will take place on Sunday 29th April at 2.00pm at the Pavilion – Members are welcome to attend.
Tickets will be drawn in order of value. i.e. The most expensive tickets will be drawn first. The winner will be chosen from the members who have selected these tickets. The winner’s name will then be deleted from the subsequent draws for other days. The process will continue until all of the tickets have been drawn.
Unsuccessful members will then enter a ‘pool’ of reserves and these names will be drawn so that they are given a position on the reserve list. The reserve list will come into play in the event that a successful ticket holder rejects, or fails to meet the requirements for the ticket that they have won before the deadline set by GTC. (It is possible, for example, that a family which is successful more than once, via more than one member, may decide to only retain one pair of tickets.)
Any questions please contact admin@graffhamtennis.co.uk
Once allocated the deadline for acceptance of tickets to GTC is the 7th of May, tickets must be paid for in full by the member to the LTA – details will be on the British Tennis website.
Tickets will be issued by the LTA and couriered to you directly once paid for. Any Tickets not paid for by the 25th of May will be put up for free sale by the LTA.
good luck to everyone its a brilliant day out for all ages.
