After many years of the same format for the annual tennis tournaments we have decided that this year 4 of the tournaments will be run as one day events i.e. all the matches including the final will be played over the course of one day, probably as 2 set matches with a tie break decider instead of a third set.
These will be:
Ladies B doubles: Sunday1st July
Ladies singles: Saturday 7th July
Mens B doubles: Sunday 8th July
Mixed doubles: Sunday 22nd July
The mixed doubles is no longer family event so is open to a much broader range of partners and will be held on the Sunday of tennis week, when hopefully a lot of people are around anyway.
I hope that this will prove popular but it is obviously dependent on people being available on the relevant date. So in order for us to draw up a list of competitors could you please let me know which events you would like to enter. In the case of doubles, if you know who you wish to play with let know but otherwise just enter anyway and we will pair you up.

Obviously if I don’t receive a response I will assume that you don’t want to enter any of these tournaments. The other tournaments will be run as normal over the course of the summer.
